An important fixative for delicate tissues and cell preparations, particularly recommended for embryo material, fixing opthalmic tissues and testes for cytological studies. Has the useful property of enhancing Trichrome stains when sections are post fixed.
Davidsons Fixative £5.75 for 200ml
Similar fixative properties to Bouins Fixative, but without the Picric Acid component.
Formal Acetic Alcohol £5.75 for 200ml
An important botanical fixative. Also used is a cytological fixative to enhance chromosomes and nuclear detail in biological tissues.
